Reassigning opportunities

The Reassign Lead Wizard lets you reassign the Opportunity Owner, Account Manager, Territory, and Classification at the same time.

NOTE   An opportunity is required to run this wizard. It cannot be used to reassign organizations only.

  1. To open the page, use the path(s) in the Security and navigation section above.
  2. From the context menu, select Reassign Lead.
  3. If you launch the wizard from the context menu, you must select the opportunity you want to reassign.

  1. Complete the remaining fields on the first page.
Field Description
Assign To Select the resource to reassign the opportunity to. This list will include all active resources, unless the Opportunity Category applied to the named opportunity has a restricted list.
Reassign Organization Your Autotask instance may be configured to use one of the following terms instead: Account, Business Unit, Client Company, Customer, Site. check box Select to reassign the account manager as well.
Territory Select a territory from the list of territories set up in the Admin area. Refer to Territories.
Classification Select the classification that best fits this organization. For information on classifications, refer to Classification icons.
  1. Click Next.

  1. To create a to-do for the newly assigned resource, complete the Instructions field, and edit the Due Date, if desired. Click Next.
  2. To send a notification email, select the users you want to notify. The new opportunity owner will automatically be notified. Click Next.
  3. Select the notification Template, complete the email message and click Finish.
